BENTON HARBOR, Mich., (June 22, 2022) – The Women’s Business Center (WBC) at Cornerstone Alliance celebrated the opening of new business Jovani's Kitchen with a ribbon cutting ceremony yesterday evening. Jovani's Kitchen is located at 12857 Red Arrow Highway, Sawyer, MI 49125.

Shivani and Joel Degner, owners of Jovani's Kitchen, have counseled with the WBC since 2021 in preparation of this moment. They are passionate about their dream to offer Indian-American cuisine in Southwest Michigan.

“We're excited for Shivani and Joel as they follow their entrepreneurial dream to provide Indian-American fusion dishes," said Kristen Patzer, Manager of the WBC. "Jovani's Kitchen is a great addition to the list of outstanding businesses located in Southwest Michigan and we look forward to watching them succeed."

Adding yet another Woman-owned business to the tri-county region, the WBC continues to help provide access to critical resources for entrepreneurs such as business counseling, financial education, and responsible financial products.

Jovani's Kitchen will celebrate it's grand opening on Saturday, June 25th from 12:00-8:00 PM.
